Allyson Wuenschel

Allyson’s enthusiasm for performing is matched by her love of teaching. As
the viola teacher at the Arizona School for the Arts, Allyson is fortunate
to work with bright, young musicians on a daily basis.

For the past for seven years, violist Allyson Wuenschel has passionately
pursued performance throughout the greater
Phoenix area. While she currently serves as principal violist for Arizona
Pro Arte Ensemble and Musica Nova, she also performs with such notable local ensembles
as The Arizona Chamber Orchestra, the Arizona Bach Festival
Orchestra, and West Valley Symphony. Allyson has been a featured viola
soloist with the Arizona Pro Arte Ensemble, Sonoran Desert Chorale and the
Orpheus Male Chorus and enjoys performing in many chamber music events
throughout the valley.

Prior to her arrival in Phoenix in 2007, Allyson received her undergraduate
degree at Boise State University under the instruction of Dr. Linda Kline
Lamar, and her Masters Degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music
with violist Jodi Levitz. Furthering her education brought her to Arizona
State University, where she is working toward completion of her Doctoral
Degree with professor Nancy Buck.
